The High Sierra 690-4 is a fast action graphite fly rod. This blank on which this fly rod is built has gained the reputation as one of the best six weights around. We think you’ll agree. Customers from from the West Coast of Sweden and the shores of the Southern Baltic say it’s a super coast rod. It was designed as a steamer rod and it has proven its versatility from trout rivers in Iceland to the bonefish flats of the Caribcean. Any trout earned with a fly rod is worth noting. However, if you hunger for the largest trout in your waters, you’ll need to adjust your approach. You see, when a trout gets big enough, it changes its diet plan. The largest trout often eat meat in the form of smaller fish and crayfish. Try casting a proper streamer pattern with your everyday fly rod…it won’t work efficiently. You need to up your game…as well as your gear.
