At RFT Gear we work hard to ensure a functional warranty process. We follow European Union consumer protection directives and we’ll replace any item found to be faulty of manufacturing defect for a period of two years. We represent the manufacturers of the gear we carry and we act as agent for them concerning their warranty coverage plans. Making a warranty claim should not be difficult! In most cases we will accept a photograph of the damaged part and a description of the circumstances. In other instances, we may require return of the item in order to process a claim. With the proper information we can usually process the claim immediately.
In cases of breakage or damage not due to manufacturing defect, we will help. For blanks, the handling fee is 40 Euros to replace any broken part. For finished rods, the handling fee is 55 euros to replace any broken part. If for some reason a part in question happens to be out of stock we will do our best to reach a compromise with a comparable product.
The customer’s responsibility is to clearly communicate with us regarding any warranty problem. RFT Gear’s responsibility is to interpret the information received and to find the best solution for the problem.
